FAQ
What's in it for me?
Your benefits depend on your contributions. At TRBN™, we prioritize GIVING before RECEIVING. Our chapters are teams of like minded business professionals focused on building strong relationships that lead to business success. When you join, ask, "What can I do for you?" instead of "What's in it for me?"
Who can join?
Membership is open to legitimate businesses willing to build business relationships with other like minded business professionals. Only one member per business category is accepted in each chapter, unless arrangements are made with the original member occupying the seat or a category is split by TRBN™ and chapter leadership. A potential member will not be rejected based on race, religion, political affiliation, or any other non business related circumstances. We DO NOT allow our network to be used to promote political, religious or non business related causes, campaigns or messages.
What is TRBN™?
TRBN™ is a collection of local business chapters, where members share ideas, referrals, and support, fostering business success and community involvement. Our network emphasizes engagement, mutual benefit, and making a difference beyond traditional referral exchanges.
How can a person attend as a guest?
Guests are usually invited by a member or find us online. If you're interested but don't know any members, please contact us here and we will help connect you with the right group.
How do I apply for membership in a Chapter?
Attend a meeting at your desired chapter. If it feels right, discuss membership with the Chapter President or Vice President.

If there is no chapter in your area or if your category is filled in every chapter in your area, contact us and we can discuss any future plans for new chapters. If you would like to explore the idea of being part of a new chapter launch in your area, we would certainly welcome a discussion. Contact us via this link.

I'm new in business. What can this do for me?

I have a pretty common service. Will TRBN™ do me any good?
More than you might think. Successful business people often surround themselves with a strong group of like minded business professionals to collaborate with, to learn from and to share ideas with. I have a pretty specialized service. Can TRBN™ help me?
Absolutely. TRBN™ helps your specialized business gain visibility and access to opportunities you might miss through conventional marketing.
Won't traditional marketing methods be just as good?
Traditional marketing is important, but according to research done by the Financial Post, more than 60% of new business comes from connections. TRBN™ emphasizes word-of-mouth marketing, which has a very high conversion rate.
How do I know I'll get any referrals after referring to other people?
TRBN™ focuses on teamwork rather than tit-for-tat referrals. Not every business can generate referrals for every member, but our collective focus on giving ensures that all members benefit over time.
What professions get the most from networking?
Success in TRBN™ depends more on the individual than the profession. Dedicated, consistent members who build relationships reap the most rewards. Popular categories include real estate, finance, IT, and more.
I have more business than I can handle now, why network?
Maintaining an active network ensures continued business and helps you find more lucrative clients. Giving more leads than you receive often leads to unexpected benefits like discounts or valuable assistance.
What kind of business increase are we talking about?
Business growth depends on your current workload, your dedication to and consistency working with your TRBN™ business team. Consistent effort can lead to consistent growth.
Why only one person from each profession?
This ensures maximum benefit for each member and avoids conflicts. It prevents competition within the group and fosters a supportive environment.
Where and when do meetings take place?
We normally meet in Restaurants, Cafe's, lounges or Pubs which have a sectioned off area where at the very least, we can expect semi privacy due to our energetic meetings. We never meet in Restaurants that charge for the use of a private room and we will not arrange set prices for food, but we do make sure our members at the very least buy a drink or leave a generous tip for the server. We meet at different times, depending on the choices made by the Chapter leadership upon launch.
Are visitors expected to speak in front of the whole group?
Yes, visitors have a brief opportunity to introduce themselves and their business. This helps improve public speaking skills and builds connections.
Why does TRBN choose not to mandate referrals?
Mandating referrals can lead to poor-quality leads. TRBN™ focuses on building relationships that naturally result in high-quality referrals.
Do members have to bring guests?
The real question is, why wouldn't you want to bring guests to introduce to your valued business team? Visitors do not need to feel like they are being recruited, members can feel free to bring people just to visit the group and meet some great business professionals.
Does TRBN™ have referral related contests?
Some chapters organize contests, but as an organization, we focus on building relationships rather than focusing on referrals.
Can MLM or Direct Marketing businesses join?
Yes, but the primary focus must be on a product or service, and representatives must be knowledgeable. Financial services must be provided by licensed professionals.
Why do we not pass referrals during our weekly meetings?
Referrals are too important to be limited to once a week. Daily referrals yield better results than saving them for a weekly meeting.
